Privacy Policy
The short version
We don't ask you for anything, so we don't collect anything. We use ads and basic analytics, both of which use cookies you can accept or decline.
What we don't collect
The Site has no signup, no login, no comments, no newsletter, no email capture, no contact form. There is nothing here that asks for personal information, and nothing here that submits personal information to a server we control. If you read a story, we do not know.
Cookies from third parties
We use third-party services that may set cookies in your browser:
- Google AdSense (or similar ad networks): used to display ads, and may personalize ads based on your browsing history if you consent.
- Analytics: aggregate, anonymized pageview data so we can see which stories people read.
On your first visit, a consent banner asks you to accept or decline these cookies. If you decline, ads will still appear but will not be personalized.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (currently Vercel) records basic information about requests (IP address, browser type, page requested) for security and performance. This information is not used to identify individuals and is retained for a limited time.
Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)
If you're in the EU, UK, or California, you have rights to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you — though as described above, we generally don't hold any. Children
This Site is not directed at children under 13. We don't knowingly collect personal data from children. The content may, however, be moderately demoralizing about adult work. Reader discretion.
Changes
If we update this policy materially, we'll update the date at the top.
